[OoC: Thing is that while Alex is away, I'm gonna take advantage take care of his account, and start a little RP to get out of boredom XP Anyone who comes from this timeline---especially Avalon---can be here.]

"...I just barely finished learning Chinese, and now I gotta start all over with Japanese?!" 13-year-old Alex complained as he hopped out of the car and looked up at his new middle school. "I would really prefer to go to Russia...Dad?"

He turned and looked around. The car was already gone. His father had said that he was in a hurry. He sighed, and turned back to the school. He saw a boy of his age staring at him. He raised a hand awkwardly. "Er...oha...ohayoo?" he said slowly. The boy quickly turned and ran off. A sweatdrop formed behind his head. "Great..."

Once he got into the building, he started to wonder where the staffroom. He stood in the middle of corridor, blank and clueless expression all over him.

A girl stared with inquisitive eyes at Alex. He appeared extremely confused and looked foreign -- English or American, perhaps? Ordinarily, she would have never taken interest in such a trivial thing as a classmate being lost, but this boy... something stood out about him, for some odd reason.

The girl was professional looking in every sense of the word. Her uniform was as perfect as it could possibly be, and not a hair on her head was out of place. She was extremely fair, and her lips, rosy in color, stood out along with her eyes and the deep contrast of white skin against black hair. They were the color of dark honey, flecked with the occasional emerald, brown, or amber, but mostly with various shades of striking blue. Eyes that should have seemed warm felt cold coming from this girl. Her raven locks were pulled back neatly into a pollyanna and this was secured by a perfectly white ribbon. She was a bit shorter than most of her classmates, but being a year younger could do that to you at this vital growth age. She still stood out more than even the tallest person could have ever hoped to do. Indeed, twelve-year-old Avalon Hokshiko stood out as someone you PROBABLY wanted to avoid if possible. Perhaps, however, if you didn't already know her by reputation, you wouldn't be quite so worried about her... maybe. All the same, for such a young girl, she looked awfully formidable.

Of course, dear Alex wasn't going to be allowed avoid her. Avalon, against her normal behavior towards her fellow students, was going to help him. I suppose everyone has to have a good streak every great now and then. She walked neatly over to him, surveying him with an expressionless face. "You look lost." she said in perfect English. After all: Avalon had been speaking seven languages since the ripe old age of eight, and she was rather fluent in English. "Chances are your parents left you here in hopes the schools Japanese as a Second Language program would save you. They're sadly mistaken." she said it all rather calmly and distantly, as if rather than talking to him, she was simply observing. Which, chances are, was EXACTLY what she was doing.

|ooc: ><; bah. That was bad. Long week at school...tired... |

(OOC: I think I should mention this: This is going to be before Shera became an assassin)

It was another boring day at school for Shera. She would be cold and distant as always, wouldn't even pay any mind to the people around her. She didn't even notice the new kid at the school, and if she did, she took no notice. She hated school. She even hated being at home. Everywhere she went, she seemed to be pushed aside. She had no friends at school, since everyone thought that she was a freak, or some weirdo that smoked pot her mom. Shera shuddered, she would never be like that wretched women. Shera was now fifteen, but she had been held back a year from trying to attack a kid in kindergarten. She couldn't remember why she had attacked the kid...she just did. Now she had to go to all the classes that people younger than her had to take. Perfect.

Shera entered the school, the secretary there waving to her as usual. Shera waved back to her, her spirits lightening up some. Perhaps this wouldn't be such a bad day after all.

She had English lessons first. She had to take a foreign language in order to get the degree she was aiming for, but what she really wanted to do was sign up for the track team as soon as possible.

(OOC: Warning! >< there are lots of spoilers in this sort of stuffs... >> so... BEWARE! *runs off... aaand then comes back to post* .__.;)

"I don't want to go to school..." A blue eyed girl with black hair said sitting in the back of a blue mini van. The 13-year old girl crossed her arms looking out the window beside her, faintly reflecting her face. Her long black hair pulled up showing her peach colored skin. The uniform huging the girl tightly, but its just the right fit. Her expression pouted as she watched the buildings pass by.

"I know you don't like to go to a new school every 3 years but this is a part of your fathers job." A woman said from the front with the same long black hair. Her green eyes looked at the girl through the rear-veiw mirror. "Come on, Cheer up! You will get to meet new people and make new friends!" The woman staid comming to a stop, to drop off the girl.

The girl grabbed her bag and opened the sliding door. "You always say that mom.." The girl mumbled as she jumped out of the car. Her feet hit the ground and she stumbled a little. She turned her head and said, "I'll see you after school!"

"Bye Rio!" she yelled after her and drove off.

(OOC:... hm... oh.. yeah... spoiler there XP)

Alex turned around at the voice. It was a girl. Who looked too perfect for some reason. He couldn't help but stare a bit. She spoke English, too. He quickly shook his head and laughed nervously.

"Er, not likely second language...probably fifth or sixth. And, well, yeah, I am lost."

He almost didn't want to admit it, but it would not look too good to wander about and enter wrong classes. Half of him hoped that this girl would not make him look like a true lost rat.

She continued to survey him. "Well. I don't suppose you know what class you are in, do you." Not a question. A statement. Judging by how confused he looked, she really didn't think he had gotten anything from the school's office. Well... quite frankly... he probably couldn't read the signs pointing him in the right direction, and even if he had gotten there, it was unlikely either the administration or the boy in question would have been able to communicate. She sighed.

"Your parents must have registered you. The office will be absolutely no help at this time of day, or any other for that matter. My class is the only one with any openenings, and I'm going to assume you are thirteen, putting us in the same grade. Follow me." How Avalon knew all this? She had her ways. In fact... there were very few things about the school (and about any other subject, for that matter) she DIDN'T know. She turned and started off down the hall.

Alex stared. He didn't know what made him. This girl just seemed a little...strange? He didn't what word to describe it. Finally, he shrugged. As long as he got any help around here, he would do anything. He quickly caught up with her.

"Um...a-ri-ga-to go-za-i-ma-su," he said slowly. "Er, I'm Alex Kayton. I don't know whether I can get any Japanese name out of that, but...what's your name?"

(OOC: Has nothing to do at the moment....)

Shera walked swiftly to her locker, wanting the day to end as soon as possible, even though it had just begun. She did her locker combination, but it didn't open, and remained locked. She tried again, just to find that it wouldn't open. She was getting irritated now. There was no way that this day was going to treat her like some piece of garbage. Trying one more time, just to fail, she punched her locker in frustration, just to have it pop open, slamming into the locker next to hers.

"Finally..." she mumbled, stuffing everything in it, taking out what she needed.

Her locker seemed to be laughing at her. She would show it one day...it would pay...this whole school would. Or would it? Shera thought about this as she walked to her class...another boring, dull lesson. Last time she had fallen asleep and gotten a detention. Shera hoped that she didn't do that again, especially since her teacher was like an old witch that seemed to want to get revenge on all of the students.

|ooc: Sorry >< -bow- I got sick and there was much homework and.... meehhh ><;;; |

"Avalon Hokshiko, in English order." she said simply. She rounded a corner. "Yes. It does have an 'L' in it. My grandmother is British and she wanted me to have a Latin name." Avalon was rather fond of her name; It was different and somehow sounded... distinguished. Formal.

She didn't glance over her shoulder to make sure he was still there. She just assumed he was as she turned into her respective classroom. Of course, chances were if he was lost, he was out of luck. Avalon didn't usually help someone more than once, and there was no WAY she would go out and look for him. She stopped in a somewhat stiff way, turning around and staring at the doorway. That look wasn't unlike that of a cat watching a bird it was about to try and kill.

Avalon. Sounds... Alex didn't think more. He needed to get out of the Chinese culture immediately.

He stopped at the doorway, glancing in a little. It did not look any different to other classrooms he had been to. But this one had Japanese students in them---and he did not speak Japanese. He looked towards Avalon tentatively, wondering what he should do.

She walked to the teacher and began speaking in Japanese. "Ma'am. We have a new student, and he doesn't speak Japanese." she stated calmly. The teacher looked over, frowning deeply. She'd have to set up a place for him in the JSL program, but that would take a few days. She sighed.
"Avalon, would you be very kind and translate for him for a few days? Until his spot is set up in JSL?" Avalon glanced over at Alex, reluctantly nodding. She didn't like the idea of being someone else's voice very much... she was very independant. She walked back to Alex.
"The teacher says you will have to stay in this class for a few days, and that I'm going to be your translator." She turned on a heel, starting to a desk. "Take a seat next to me." she said. Well. Ordered, really. She sat down, pulling her books and such out and organizing them neatly on her desk.

That was a relief. The girl was weird, but he decided that he could manage it. Besides, what other choice did he have? Alex nodded, and entered the classroom. He looked towards the teacher, bowed a little with a sheepish smile, and went to sit next to Avalon.

"Er...you know, if you just teach me, I'll learn in no time," he said, trying to think of something nice to say. He didn't want to burden her much either. "I'm a fast learner. In other countries, they didn't even have to put me into any program. And I'm sure my dad will teach me a little."

Avalon raised a brow, clearly contemplating this. He didn't seem quite as... stupid... as her fellow students. Not as weak. Perhaps this would be a good chance to make herself an ally. "Very well." she said decisively. "I'll inform the teacher of your descision. You may come home with me in the afternoons for a few hours to learn Japanese." She got to her feet, walking to the teacher and speaking to her. The woman looked at Alex, shrugged, and shooed Avalon off.

The girl neatly retook her seat, crossing her legs at the ankles and tucking them off to the right. She sat up very straight, and her willowy finger moved with ease over her school things. "I'll translate the lesson for you." Avalon said calmly to him, her eyes remaining on her textbook, which she'd opened to the page they'd be using that day.

"Wait...your house?"

It wasn't as if he didn't want to go, but he wasn't very comfortable about going to some Japanese's house while he still wasn't used to their ethics. "Er, is it possible for you to come to MY house instead? I believe it's more convenient that way...my dad probably won't be back by tonight, and all we have in the house are my butler, cook and maid."

"Funny," Avalon said, masking the small burst of shock this comment had brought like the best actress Hollywood had to offer. "My parents will not be home this evening, either. We'll have my nurse, our butler, and our housekeeper tonight." She glanced up at the board, turning to the page they were on and placing the book towards Alex's side of her desk so that he could see the pictures. "We're studying Greek Mythology at the moment." she said, emotionless as always, pointing a pale, fragile looking finger at a picture of a God and Godess sitting upon a cloud.

"I suppose I could go to your home rather than you come to mine," Avalon quietly thought about this. Oh, her nurse was going to throw an ABSOLUTE fit no matter who went to who's house. She would never hear the end of it. 'My sweet little Ava has herself a boyfriend! How cute!'. Then the silly old bat would run off and inform her mother and father and she'd REALLY never hear the end of it.
