 cupboard smell.

I just moved into a new plae and the kitchen cupboards have a weird musty smell. I cleaned them out and added new contact paper but I can still smell it. Any tips on how to get rid of this and freshen up the cupboards?

baking soda...washing it with vinegar...or a dab of tea tree oil on a washcloth...put the washcloth in the cupboard for a few days and it should help.
