I learned this one from Koreans I used to work with at a local yoga studio:

Before the actual exercise, it's best to perform some yoga and/or ecsatic dancing, to center and focus yourself and to "get things flowing" . . so to speak. The dancing is best done to drumming.

While doing the ecstatic dancing rotate your head left to right . . . over and over, and shake your hands, move your feet . . . Don't give even a little bit of care to how you look because these exercises are not the type you do to "look cool".

I get most results from rapidly pronating and supinating my hands, like opening a door knob, with my arms down at the side, like I'm quickly twist-shaking a small ball in my hand.

After the yoga and/or ecstatic dancing . . when your mind is still and your body well-relaxed. Sit on the ground in half-lotus, or any comfortable meditation pose and bring your hands (palms facing each other) in front of your chest, as if holding a ball. Breathe slowly and deeply. Slowly move your hands towards and away from each other, as if holing a balloon that fill and deflates with the air from your breath.

It may take some time, for those not used to meditation, but you will start to feel a sensation that described like a warm tingling, or a water flowing, or (as I feel) a magnetic field between your palms. This is your Chi!!!!!!

Experiment with expanding this 'balloon' . . moving it around, or moving your hands over your head and body (not touching) to get a real good feel of it. This may be a good time to take up Tai Chi or Qi Gong practice, so you never lose this feeling.

Good meditation skills and sensitivity to energy are the first thing I'd recommend building for anyone interested in work of spiritual or magickal nature.
