So, I rented this video and we watched it last night. It started kinda slow and gained in speed and interest. There's A LOT going on here and it is not told in a linear fashion so I was kinda confused most of the time. I love Kiera Knightley and she's beautiful, if rough-edged in this movie. Mickey Rourke is a much heavier, much rougher bloke than the one I remembered from 9 1/2 Weeks. There's a ton of violence, drugs, some sex (topless Kiera) scenes, explosions, lots of blood, lots of random breaking the law, mobsters, mob attorneys, bad frat boys, a crew of funny ethnic DMV workers and lots more....

If you're looking for a movie with no message (other than that Domino is a bad-ass) and lots going on, this might be your movie. I'd have liked it better if the plot were less convoluted. I'm still not quite sure what was going on but I'm not watching it a second time.

Ultimately for me, Kiera was worth watching -- love the haircut and eye makeup. The rest was filler.

Oh good, I was wondering if I should put that in my queue...I think I will....

And Mickey Rourke sure does look different, I think it was from is foray into professional boxing. He got his nose all messed up a few times and then he put on some poundage...weird.

I didn't say but it might matter to some that this is based loosely on a true story and Domino was a real woman who appears at the end of the video. She has since died from AIDS.
