Title: Review: Step Up - B+

Step Up is one of those dance movies. You know the ones - boy or girl from the wrong side of the tracks finds dance, finds love and is saved. Along the way, there is distrust, disappointment, and anguish, followed by the prerequisite happy ending.

I didn't recognize anyone in the cast, which includes Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan and Damaine Radcliff, but the movie is exceptional. The dance scenes made me wish I could dance. There's one scene where they do something that resembles 'line dancing' but it's to whatever they're calling today's music - hip hop? Pop? I'm not sure, but it's amazing. I didn't even mind the rap music that makes up part of the sound track.

It's a feel good movie and a pleasant diversion, which is what movies were once all about. If that's what you're looking for, give it a go.
