Thanks so much! I really think I'm going to like it here. I write a lot of poetry, some good, some bad, but with whatever I post, please feel free to comment upon, good or bad. I think that sometimes, we learn more from negative comments than positive ones! (Of course... that only happens if you actually listen to the comments.... which isn't always easy! lol)

Hey Scarlett, I'm a poet as are a few others here and I love comments on my stuff too. As you say, I think we learn something from everything anyone has to say (whether or not they think they know enough about poetry to comment!)

That's a jibe at some folks here who think they have to be e e cummings before they are allowed to say anything about a poem. Maybe we can convince them otherwise?

Anyway, welcome welcome!! I'm really glad you're here!

I'm one of those start from the top people so I haven't read your poem yet. But, welcome to the list. We're strange but we're harmless. Well, except for one or two members who shall remain nameless.

I write poetry, too, but I haven't done anything lately, because the poetry muse hasn't visited me, and I'm working on a novel right now.

Maybe it I find some of my poetry I might post it... maybe.

I don't think I've said hi. So... hi.

And I rarely comment on poetry because 1) I rarely make it through a whole poem and 2) when I do, my response is almost always, "That's nice, now let's find me a story to read." :unsure:

Unless it has a cool rhythm. I like cool rhythms. That'll at least get me through 1), and change 2) to "That's cool. Now, let's find me a story to read."

And I must be one of those exceptions CJ mentioned, because I'm certainly not strange. No sirree.

Hmmm...

The exceptions I mentioned were more of the non-harmless type. So, if you're not strange, does that mean you're not harmless?

Or is this just too... convoluted?

I'd hate to have me as a character. I'd never do anything I wanted me to do.

Aw, but I already have characters like that, so one more wouldn't be that big a deal.
