I was visiting with my son from Houston this weekend, and he asked how the writing site was going. I described it a bit to him, and as I was talking, I realized how incredibly lucky we are, that such a diverse group of people came together in such harmony.

So, for the new year,

To Valisira, who doesn't share quite as much of the rest of us - I wish you to continue your good influence on your friends, and your support when they need it.

To Bri, I wish the continued growth of your faith and your good works, and the blessings that will accompany it.

To Gem, I wish you continued excellent grades, and a wonderful career with children - and many joys that it will bring you.

To DO, I wish more and better games all through the year, and more luck with keeping your blog from being hijacked (hint: don't bring up stuff we're interested in!)

To Thunderlord, I wish your muse to be constant this year, for school to be enjoyable, and for your abiding faith to continue to be your guide.

To Therkerham, I don't know what to wish you that you don't already have. I wish for your writing to continue as steadily as it has this past year, and for you to begin thinking about publishing. I wish for your family to continue to bring you joy.

To Scarlett, I wish for your wedding plans to continue flawlessly, and for the big day to be everything you want.

To Skraith, I wish for your dancing and your running to continue to make you happy, for you to win a competition or two this year, and for your indominitable spirit to continue to brighten this place.

To Remmy, I wish the stamina to continue with your fitness programs, the passion to continue with your rants and articles, and the creativity to further your design work.

To Chicck, I wish good health for your father, and I wish that your beautiful nostalia-inducing poetry endures forever.

To Paloma, another who has everything, (and without whom this site would continuously flounder!) I wish your new job to be pleasant, and to leave you enough time for writing. I wish for your knowledge and wit to continue to grace us for time to come. And I wish for us to manage to meet in Houston this spring!

And to CJ, who has turned out to be the backbone and mother of us all, I wish you the pleasure of knowing you are performing work that is important, I wish good reading, I wish you healthy animals for long years, and I wish you the pleasure of my company for a visit next winter!

You rock. Seriously. This was really awesome of you to do this. So thank you. And to you, I wish success in all your goals for the year. And lots of happiness. That goes to everyone else as well, you all rock.

And I promise you'll get an exerpt from the start of my novel by the end of the month. I'm working on it now. One of the problems I have is I write a lot in my head, but then never get it down on paper. Or the computer. If I could transcribe my thoughts while lying in bed half asleep or walking I'm sure I would've finished my novel by now. My laziness always gets the better of me.

Thank you, Eisel. A Happy New Year to you, and to everyone here. I shall look into the world of publishing this year and maybe get out a few query letters (darn, they scare me... er, you didn't hear me say that lol) and I'll cross my fingers...

And to Eisel, I wish continually improving health and home, the joys of a job you love, and maybe that special someone to share it all with.

As for me being the backbone, nonsense. That's you, my dear. You brought us all together and you serve as a continual source of inspiration for me. I admire your strength and your determination.

We don't thank you enough for what you've done.

And a get together sounds lovely.

Aw that was so nice Eisel. Happy new year to you also I hope all things go well for you. I plan on working through my nano story this year and actually editing it and making it interesting. I finished the story line in nano so now I just need to edit it.

Thanks, Eisel, for your wonderful and kind words. I wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous year and many joyous times with family, friends, and loved ones. My goal for this year, is to edit my novel (the first one and only one that I actually finished) and to have it publishable (if not published but that might be expecting a little too much!) as well as for my wedding to go as smoothly as possible. No... no "easy" resolutions for me like losing weight and going to the gym every day!
