Well, here are the results, not the best, but it could be worse.

Gradient echo coronal acquisition images were obtained with power intravenous injection of 40 ml Magnavist. Excellent visualization of the abdominal aorta. Single renal artery on the right. There is no artery stenosis or aneurysm. Two renal arteries at the L1 level on the left. No renal artery stenosis or aneurysm. High signal intensity mas in the anterior cortex right kidney approximate 15 mm in diameter. There is loss parenchyma adjacent to the mass. No retroperitoneal mass.Normal origins of the celiac axis, superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery. Normal common iliac arteries.
Conclusion: Normal MRA of the renal arteries. Focal scarring lateral cortex right kidney with small mass that may represent small cyst. Ultrasound recommend further evaluation...

sounds like you need further testing for sure.... makes me wonder if there is a pheo in the kidney. I've wondered about that from the first time you posted. I can't remember if you'd done the 24 hr urine test for a pheo or not....if not that might be a good idea.

Hang in there!

I think thats what my gp did early on, I remember they gave me a little red "gascan" and told me to pee in it for the next 24 hours, I laughed, and after 10 hours I went and got another jug. They ran lots of tests then.

you should check on that because there are lots of tests that they do a 24 hr urine for and if they didn't its an easy one to do and not too spendy... couldn't hurt.

They look for metanephrine which is from breaking down adrenaline. It is affected by a lot of things that you ingest so you would need to watch what you consume to get a more accurate reading.

Just had a friend who had to go through these tests...a pheochromocytoma can be other places besides the medulla of the adrenal gland.

Not real happy w/endo visit today. He said some things I am not sure I believe. Here are things we know for sure, the mass shows 15mm and dense on the MRA. My cortisol levels are low all day long, cort. stim test took me from 8.4-12.7 in one hour, last renin test was 24, aldost. 10. FSH and luetinizing hormone almost undetectable, testosterone level drops to 58 after 14 days of injection, blood pressure so high I take 5 bp pills and one diuretic a day for the swelling. AND MY PROBLEM WITH HIM, he says since the mass is in the kidney and NOT in the adrenal gland it has nothing to do with ANY of my other issues. I say he is wrong, and I want the mass out of there, what do you all think?

You need to get a second opinion from a nephrologist. He will be much more knowledgeable about the kidney/bp connection. And another opinion from another endo would be advised as well....
