Guy jumped to his feet.
"Time to hide!" Jayora struggled to her feet and rushed to the back-edge of the room. "Um....door?" Guy traced the wood paneling with his large hands. in a few moements, he had located a secret panel. The air within was slightly damp, and the stairs led down. Jayora winced. "Sure we should so this? it IS just a game, after all!" "Are you joking?" Guy scoffed. "I am HARDLY going to give Spike aan advantage!" "So THAT'S what you think this is? A chance to continue your spat? I thought you worked this out while I was talking to Demon!" Guy grinned wolfishly. "Oh, we did! It's more a....friendly competition now." Jayora didn't look impressed. "We're going to be found!" he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the exit. "Just a few stairs is all!" they ducked into the opening, and the panel slid closed behind them. |

Before Sam had a chance to think about where she'd like to hide, Trystan turned demon and swept her out through the window, grinning to himself.
"Wait! I'm pretty sure we're meant to hide within the manor!" She shrieked, her voiced muffled. Not surprising, as her face was buried in a somewhat green shoulder. "Who says we won't be within the manor?" He chuckled. "I'm just taking the direct route. Who says you need to get hot and sweaty just yet?" "TRYSTAN!" While that was happening, Sanne took a more traditional route to the treasure room, where she slid into a sarcophagus- after making sure it's previous inhabitant wasn't in residence, of course. |

The dark, dimly-lit corridor was creepier than Jayora cared to admit. It wove about under the surface until she thought she'd never see the light of day again. Just as she was about to voice these thoughts, Guy's rough voice brought her back to the present.
"We're here." Jayora looked up at the blank wall before her. "ANOTHER secret panel?" Guy gave her his trade-mark smirk. "But of course. Nothing is as it seems here, remember?" "You stole that from Jareth!" He bent lower until they were eye-to-eye. "Are you going to say it's not fair?" "Of course not. I was merely making an observation. Now, where's the door?" Guy sighed and returned to the wall. "Right here." He pushed gently on one of the stones, and waited. A slight crack apppeared that poured light into their hiding place. "Hmm...Looks like-" Jayora pulled the door shut so fast Guy stumbled backwards. "What was-" "SHH! That's the BAR! We're not allowed in there yet! We've got to find someplace else." Guy sighed and shoved his hand through his long, wavy hair. "Fine. But you're picking the exit this time. It's like the Labyrinth. A shadow in front of the door." Jayora nodded. "Shouldn't be too far from where I want to go anyway!" She walked back up-hill several paces and tapped lightly on the stone. "Here's our door." |

Jayora slumped against the wall.
"We should have at least HEARD something by now..." Guy pressed a hand to her shoulder. "If you want to get out of the dark...open the door." Jayora glared up at him with flashing eyes and walked through the portal-door-thing. What was on the other side was completely opposite of what she had been expecting. A sparkly, stuffed-animal-filled room met her eyes, along with a very annoyed, raven-haired wizard. he flicked said hair away from his eyes and looked at them with angry eyes. Jayora leaned back into Guy and whispered, "We're screwed." (please that be an okay word...please let that be an okay word!) |

"You aren't screwed, Jay, but whoever did this is," Sirius said, scowling and trying to get glitter out of his hair. "I'm having flashbacks to the Cricket painting me with glitter in my sleep incident."
A cackle came from said Cricket, who was watching with amusement. Guy scowled, not liking the girl's ability to vanish at will. "I liked that incident. So did everyone in the Manor who you pranked awake." Sirius got a slightly wry grin on his face. "Demon didn't." "You jumped her as Padfoot and got her dusted, too!" Cricket said, poking delicately at the nearest thing with her boot, which was a rather grotesque stuffed toad in neon blue. "No, where'd all this come from?" |

"Has Howl been near your room, Sirius? I think I recognize some of these animals..." |

"Nope, it was all me," Cricket said brightly. "It was funny. Didn't you wonder why Sirius was wandering around with donkey ears, a tail, and so forth each day that week?"
"I remember you siccing those nymphs on him," Jayora said slowly. "I think everyone does." They had made a giant carpet for the ballroom with his clothes, save for one of those horribly ugly sets that spontainously spawned in closets sometimes. Sirius' reaction had been entertaining. Tara had dryly pointed out that Barenaked Ladies' "One Week" had gone up in iTunes listening stats a LOT after that. "But I meant for Jareth to do this." "No, this isn't my room," Sirius said slowly. "Why would you be in my room?" "Everyone else is scared of entering it, so I'd win Hide and Seek?" Jayora explained, feeling a bit silly now. "It seemed like a good idea..." "It does make sense..." Cricket said, aware that people were afraid of the pile of papers and books scattered around her own room. "Why didn't Cricket have any embarrassing pranks on her?" Guy asked finally. "I did," Cricket groaned. "It just scarred poor Remus for life, this banshee in lime green knickers and a short bathrobe shouting at Sirius like that." Jay blinked, really hoping Cricket was joking. Really hoping. "You forgot the heels," Sirius said dryly. "And Moony is unflappable. He's put up with James and me since we were eleven." Cricket gave the other two a long-suffering look. "And then Delenn ran into him trying a second time. Then he kept trying to prank me awake, and I snapped and asked the nymph squad for help." "...Oh." Jay shook her head. "Still can't remember where I saw those before." This post has been edited by ShadowSpinner on Jun 22 2009, 03:41 AM |

Jayora slunk over to the door, and peered through the tiny crack by the hinges.
"It looks safe out there....and it's been silent for ages!" She snuck a look back at Guy. "Who's 'it' again? I'm afraid the silence here has killed my brain cells." She winked at her fellow players. "Anyone want to remind a poor, pitiful little Junior so she doesn't have to look it up?" |

Demon hummed a little tune on her way into the building, then stopped, and frowned. Sure, the mansion had been quiet the last few days, but this was the sort of quiet when the mansion started acting up and light fixtures started following you around... It could be VERY creepy in the mansion.
Demon warily looked around, there was no one. She whirled around quickly to make sure a light fixture wasn't about to strangle her. Nope, all innocent and stationary. "Okay... what the hell is going on here?" she asked aloud to herself. "It would appear," a voice began dyrly. "Wah!" Demon started, whirling towards the sound, "Oh... god, Jareth! Quit sneaking up on me like that!" Jareth smirked, "Owl remember? I am silent." "Don't I wish..." Demon muttered, "Anyway, you were saying?" "It would appear that everyone has taken to hiding." "Hiding? But why? I'm not angry..." Demon frowned, trying to think of a logical explanation for this. Jareth snorted, "Hiding... as in, hide-and-seek?" Demon stopped, then looked up at him coolly, "I knew that." "Of course you did," he purred. "Shut up, let's just go find somewhere to hide then..." |

Guy walked over to Jay and leaned his arm against the wall.
"It seems we are left alone once more, Jaya. (gI-ah)" He smiled slowly. "Want to find a new spot to hide?" Jayora raised one eyebrow silently. His grin faded. "You're actually serious about this game?" "YEAH!" she shouldered her way past him. "But I'm hungry. heading off for food....we'll see if I can snag some from Eomer...." |
