OK, first, if this belongs somewhere else, please, move it to the correct area.
Now, I'm confused about this show. Outside of the fact that this show is set in the 80s, how is this different from that other show about that guy supposedly in the coma who was sent back to be a policeman in the 70s?
I don't get it. Plus, what happened to that show (the one about the guy in the coma)?

Okay, Ashes is the sequel, with Alex, the main character, having been the main investigator about Sam from Life on Mars. (The 70s show, which lasted the set amount of seasons- three, I think?) Alex is shot, and ends up in the 80s.

OK, so is Life on Mars still being aired on BBCA (I mean, the three seasons)? Because I never did find out what happened. Was he in a coma? Or was his life in the 70s real?
And so, is Alex in a coma too, or is she dead and the 80s is her afterlife?
I don't watch Ashes to Ashes much, because I'm as confused by this show as I was with the other, but I would like to know what is going on.
I mean, I'm not a stupid person, but this whole twisted logic thing is not something I grasp easily. I like things in a nice, neat package. A + B = C kind of thing.
