-insert evil maniacal laugh here- Okay peoples. With almost 300 members of our fop-cutting, cloak wearing, semi-crazy team, our forums should be bursting with us posting like mad. So here is my attempt to breathe a little life into our crazy little family. -takes a big breath- WAKE UP!

-coughs as the dust settles then looks around- We need a maid to dust this place thoroughly! It's all good E.V. Looks like we all have a bit of dusting off to do. -flaps her cape to get dust off of it-

I agree. I've been away for WAY too long. Kind of funny, it's not the same on Facebook, where it's all uber-public. Here in our lovely dark corner of the interwebz we can just be our crazy little selves and not worry about who might catch a glimpse. I've missed that a lot.

*Pokes head inside...*
Yay! Welcome back! I've certainly missed you all! It's been quite lonely here! I've tried keeping up with the dusting, but it's been quite difficult, as you can see.

Hey, back again, lol.
so much has been happening in my life that I've completely lost track of time.
I broke up with my (now ex) fiance just in the middle of the holidays because he refused to accept my forays into paganism, survived the holidays alone along with the rest of the winter, and moved down to San Antonio Texas.
I am now happier than I have ever been, growing and learning more about myself than I ever thought possible, and in a relationship that will undoubtedly last me the rest of my life. (finally.)
It took some doing, but I have finally found myself. ^.^

I ain't dead yet! *shakes the dust off* I've just been... busy. Yeah let's go with that excuse. So, how 'bout give y'all an update about what's been going on with me?
Status update: Since I was last here I have found and kept my first job(I do scanning and filing at a doctor's office), attended my first con (I went to WorldSteam, it's for steampunk and it was awesome), learned how to knit (and now how more projects then is reasonable), got my driver's license and crashed a car (Stunning, yeah? *grins sheepishly*), dropped out of college to save for college, learned that I have ADD (that would have been nice to know in high school. Oy), am working on finding a religion that suits me, learned how to make home-made bread and have started learning swordsmanship and how to sew.
*looks over update* Damn, that is one hell of a run-on sentence. Also, I've missed you guys! *hugs* My own fault for not keeping up, but I'm horrible that that sort of thing. *penitent look*

Wow. You got your license AND you crashed a car?! Actually, lol, that's rather impressive. I crashed my first car when I was 18, lol. About a year after I got my license. You're OK, though, right?
Sorry to hear about college. Don't let it get you down. You'll get back there when you're ready. Have you thought about a community or Junior college instead? They're usually cheaper than a four year college, and classes tend to be smaller. I am attending one that has campuses near me and AWESOME teachers. In some ways it's better than a 4 year, and many people who attend there wish it was a 4 year. Anyway, it's something to think about.
I won't even begin on religion. You'll find the one that is right for you. Just make sure that you study every aspect of them BEFORE you join one, and remember that you don't have to take EVERYTHING they say seriously. If something bothers you about what the priest/rabbi/deacon/whatever, says, think it over, and don't be afraid to challenge what they say. They're not infallable.
Sorry, I'm Jewish by birth, and I've been questioning things about all religion for a long time.
Regarding the bread, do you have a bread machine? They are awesome, and you can use your own ingredients, or you can use pre-made mixes for them.
Not much happening here. I failed at Nanowrimo.... again. I've dumped Pogo as a gamesite because I am fed up with them and EA (corporate bastards). I've found a new gamesite I love. My dog died back in September, and I miss her horribly. I'm not ready to get a new one yet, and I am starting to wonder if I ever will be ready. I've been reading some GREAT books, but I've been lagging in my own writing. I'm still being harrassed by Psycho Woman. So, all in all, it's a pretty full life I'm leading (by my standards), lol.

Hey kids!
Oooh, what have I been up to? Buggered if I know, this year dissapeared sometime between my sewing machine and sleep.
Recently however, I joined a Deiselpunk group, we had our first meet last month, I was rather impressed with my costume if I do say so myself.
Been floating from job to job, mostly within the Heritage sector and the occasional forage into admin. Making costumes in my spare time. I'm nearly finished a Victorian day gown from 1888. I'll be starting it again in green shortly. I've also got the fabric for a couple of my upcoming cosplays...(oh god, sew busy).
Um, what else? Celebrated Aidin and mine's 5 year anniversary. Started Nano, got distracted, but I'm keeping the idea.
That's about it recently. The sewing has been the big thing. I'll let you guys know when there are photos of stuff.

*Waves Enthusiastically!* HI ADI!!!!!!!!!!!!
You Victorian dress sounds AMAZING! I can't sew to save my life!
I gave up on Nano, too. Good ideas, lack of motivation. Story of my life.
Thanksgiving was good, even if it was just my parents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousin. Stupid brothers' wives decided they were going to their families for Thanksgiving, so my brothers had to go with them. My Thanksgiving gathering hasn't been so small since I was in my teens! Oh well. It was more turkey for the rest of us, and my aunt did an AWESOME job cooking it this year, so it was hard to stop eating! lol.
I'm officially addicted to a multi-player game called Backyard Monsters at Kongregate.com. It's a fun game, but sucks you in if you're not careful, and I wasn't, so I'm addicted now. I had to prove to myself that I could walk away from the computer occasionally and not have this be like Kings of Chaos when I played that, and felt the compulsion to login to the game every five minutes to make sure I didn't get attacked. So, to prevent this game from becoming like that one, I forced myself to go out for dinner Friday night, and forced myself to get up and go to the Opera that I wasn't in the mood to go to after my mom cancelled on me. Well, I'm really glad I went, because the Opera was AWESOME! It was Rhodelinda, and was a Baroque opera, and it was WONDERFUL and it had one of my favorite Divas, Renee Flemming. She's really not a Diva in attitude, she's just a BRILLIANT singer. So is Stephanie Blythe, another Diva (now, she looks like a proper Diva! BIG, but beautiful, and struts her stuff, and only minorly seems to have an attitude on occasion, lol). Anyway, the costumes were beautiful, the singing (once I got used to the high-pitched voices of two of the ADULT men....) was incredible (not trying to be prejudiced here, but in all honesty, I don't usually associate barritone singing or speaking voices with Asian men, lol), and the storyline was really good, too.

So, is anyone still, well, alive? I haven't heard from anyone here in ages.
Things are actually going well for me in spite of my not having written in quite a while. I'm finally starting to take charge of my life and standing up to my dad, and I'm doing it in a way that is forcing him to back off and stop demanding things of me on his schedule because he dislikes my choices in life and thinks that I should drop everything to do things for him when he wants.
I also finally got to go to my eldest brother's house. He and his wife have a lovely home and they've decorated it beautifully. And I got to finally meet my eldest niece and her family. I hope to be able to get together with them all again, and that it won't take a year before it happens.
Oh, and I bought my burial plot! I know that probably sounds creepy, but what will probably be weirder to you all is that I've decided to be buried with my pets. I managed to get a nice section in the cemetery, and for a very reasonable price, and it includes the bench I found that I like. So, that just leaves paying for all of it, and then looking into bushes. I'm going to have my landscaper eventually go out there with me and discuss options, but one thing I definitely want is a specific color rose bush. One for each side of the entryway into the new family estate I've created.
Now I just have to figure out a way to tell my parents... Yep, that's going to be a while yet, lol.
I still miss Sasha terribly, but I think I'm starting to get to the point where I may be nearly ready to get a new dog. I'm not rushing in to anything though.
So, that's pretty much what's going on with me.
Hope all of you are doing well. Have a good rest of the holidays, and have a wonderful New Year!
