The Grimoire

Spells

This is a list of all the spells that are available for witches to use from Pride Halliwell’s personal Grimoire. These spells are specific to witches, upper level demons, and dark priests or priestesses. They cannot be used by any other being.

These spells can be used on any being. However, you should use discretion and try to avoid using these spells on someone that is more powerful than you and can easily retaliate. Be Evil, not stupid.

NOTE: Any spell that is in Latin or Gaelic must be said in its respective language for the spell to work. If the English translation is said, the spell will not work at all.

TO SUMMON A DARK SPIRIT:
Come to me [insert name of spirit here.] I conjure thee, [insert name of spirit here.]

Anoint a mirror lying face up on the floor with the traditional oils. Form a circle of black candles around this mirror on the floor. Sit within the lighted ring and chant this until the spirit comes to you in the mirror.

NOTE: The powers that may be gifted to you by the spirit can only be used as the spirit directs. Furthermore, if you touch the mirror containing the spirit, it opens you to possession.

TO REVERSE THE SUMMONING:
Break the mirror while it contains the spirit.

TO DISEMPOWER A WITCH:
Before the passing of this hour,
Take away all their powers.

This must be said over a fresh human heart. It will call the power(s) from the witch, even from a distance, and bring them to you. You cannot absorb the power(s) yourself, but you can imprison them in a blessed metal box, lantern, etc.

CHANT TO RAISE THE DEAD:
Caducus examinus vita aetus anima.
Translation: Fallen, be free, again rise.

This will only raise one spirit at a time. It will enter the body of whatever living shell is nearest and will remain within them until you say the reversal spell.

REVERSAL TO RAISING THE DEAD:
Libertus, devexum, ascendi nunquam.
Translation: Freed, descend, arise nevermore.

This will cause the spirit to exit the body of the victim and go back to the afterlife. Be careful, however, as exceptionally strong spirits occasionally break the hold and enter another being.

TO INDUCE PAIN:
Through this book
Weave this spell,
Create this pain
From heaven to hell.
May she/he suffer…

This will cause the victim to suddenly be in excruciating pain. It can be said from a distance, but the farther from the victim it is said, the less pain they will feel. It lasts on average five to ten minutes.

TO PERFORM A BLACK WEDDING:
In the beginning we were damned,
And through damnation we found
Freedom, power, and purpose.
As I unite you today,
I remind you of those gifts,
And in your union may those gifts increase
So your powers may grow
In the service of Evil.
So be it.

A priest or priestess must perform this ceremony, at it must be performed at night. A black cord should be tied around the joined hands of the two who wish to be wed. Then, with a hand on each person, the priest or priestess should recite the words.

Then the groom should drink the blood of the bride, after which they will say the following in unison:

Not two but one
Till life be gone.

TO AWAKEN A PERSON AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PARALYZED: (see Paralyzing Potion)
Eximo dempres anamatum.
Translation: Awaken and rise.

This must be said over the victim. It cannot be said from a distance.

CHANT TO PURGE UNWANTED EMOTION:
Valeo discedo prosum ferocitas,
Malum, diluo irradico.
Translation: Command that this must end and die,
Evil, wash it away.

This must be said while looking into a mirror anointed with holy oil and the blood of the person/being asking for removal of the emotion. Your request will not always be granted.

TO CORRUPT A WHITE WEDDING:
Summum supplicium diabolus infernum
Invocatio paganus sacrificium.
Translation: I ask that this temple be forever invoked for evil.

This must be said from within the building in which the white wedding is taking place. The participants in the white wedding will become evil for a period of no longer than twenty-four hours. For the evil to be made permanent, the participants must be made to take part in a dark wedding before the twenty-four hours are up.

CORONATION OF THE SOURCE:
Two sacrifices, generally good witches, must be brought to the gathering. The leaders must gather and surround the heir, who is kneeling of a pentagon drawn upon the floor. Then a Dark Priest must recite the following:

May the world’s evil flow through your soul tonight,
And grant you eternal dark.
Are you prepared to take the power and position of The Source,
Before these leaders of the Underworld?

The heir answers: Aio, datum malus adsigno. Habeo in animo.
Translation: Yes, bestow the evil upon me. I am resolved.

Then the sacrifices are killed and the heir is anointed with their blood. The Dark Priest then lays his hands upon the heir’s head and says:

TO TRANSFER THE SOURCE’S POWER:
Malus into exitus omne.
Translation: Evil, leave and be in him.

The heir then rises and shows the evil in the blackness of his eyes to prove to those gathered that he is indeed The Source.

This spell should only be used when The Source currently in power dies. The Source of Evil will then revert to a special metallic box and be contained therein until the Coronation Ceremony. This has never been tried while a Source is still in power, so the result of such an action is unknown.

TO MOVE A DEMON CHILD FROM ONE WOMB TO ANOTHER:

A circle of rose petals should be spread around a pentagram that has been drawn on the floor. A lit black candle should be placed at each point of the pentagram. The recipient should then speak the following:

Come to me, child.
Let the little children come to me,
For the Kingdom belongs
To such as these.
The rose circle represents nature,
Desire and fertility.
Kneel.

The pregnant being then kneels before the recipient. The recipient then says, placing her hands on the head of the other:

Give me strength
And give me might
To steal a child
In still of night.
Darkest forces
Let it be.
Hear my plea
Bring life to me!

This will cause the fetus to be moved from the womb of the pregnant being to that of the recipient, where it will then be implanted. This is a painful, uncomfortable process, and should not be entered into lightly, as it cannot be reversed.

TO MAKE THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE:
Aspectus invisus!
Translation: Observe!

A snap of the fingers should accompany the end of the spell. This lasts for only a short time, about fifteen minutes. It will make any object or person within the room (not the entire building) visible for that length of time.

TO GIVE BAD LUCK:
Marbhfhaisec ort!
Translation: For life all joy denied you.

The results of this spell will only last for twenty-four hours and can only be cast on one being at a time. You must be in sight of the being at the time the spell is said for it to work.

TO FREE AN IMPRISIONED BEING:
Emergo dormio,
Libertas caetus dicio.
Translation: Arise from sleep.
Quickly free the Power.

This must be used within a three-yard radius of the imprisoned being. It can only be used on one trapped being at a time.

TO OPEN THE NEXUS:
Natum adai neeral daya intaylayok.
There is no known translation for this incantation. It is only known that the language is as old as the Nexus itself.

This must be said from within the same room as the Nexus, after your perform a ritual purification on whatever being is opening the Nexus.
