Elongation:
Snipers -> Bruteshots
Camos -> PP's

Warlock:
OS -> Bottom center

Backwash:
Beam Rifles -> Sentinel Beams
No Fog
Starting Grenades

And one other possibility before we finalize this:

Elongation:
OS -> Shotguns
Shotguns -> PP's
PP's -> Magnums

I like this build because it's a bit more of a jump to get the powerups, they're a bit more open, and the plasma pistols are placed so you can use them as magnums, which is what they've really become. (Unless you can't dual wield these anymore..?) Also, I always thought the shotguns were too far up and away to make that area of the level useful, or the shotguns themselves for that matter. With powerups, you'll be getting a lot more action from that balcony down into the base, with defenders trying to jump up on the crates. Very cool.

Oh, and if Dest does ever get knockback working, you could add in some sentinel beams in an inconspicuous place (far corners at bottom of non-PP ramps?) and have some really nifty boosts up to the OS.

So just some quick choices on the Elongation setup and then we're good to go.

I thought about that place for the powerups....and I don't like it. Here's why....

By doing that you place the powerups on complete opposite ends of the maps....making it even more spawn/base friendly. Most spawns are near the base and if playing CTF...it would just be dumb. No team would really be able to control both powerups. However, w/ powerups at PP spawn it's like this....

spawn at base - run and get powerup - jumps - possibly get other powerup - at other base. Point being...both powerups are BETWEEN the bases....not at them.

So I like the original setup we agreed on for Elongation.

Yeah nasty everything your list stated basically sums it up. Minus the new ideas for powerups on elongation. The only thing that has been bugging me is the OS below the camo on warlock. I really don't see the need for the OS. But maybe it will make the map more fun with focus on your team controlling it (kinda like the original beaver creek setup)

I think it will give a reason to enter that area and keep people from constantly camping top with no reason to move.

Agreeeeeed.....and.....just b/c it's Halo....I believe all maps should have both powerups personally. People seem to prefer the Camo over the OS, but I think each powerup definitely has it's benefits.

Also, I believe that Elongation should have one side OS and one side Camo...just because it is traditional. The map is symmetrical....you can't get any more balanced. Why make it kinda boring by making each side have the same powerup? Give them different ones...it will make things more interesting. Also, what's really the point of getting both powerups if they are the same? Making them different means you can get both.

OK even better idea for Warlock powerups. How about switching them?

Top middle - OS
Bottom middle - Camo

Therefore, w/ Camo on the bottom it makes it easier for people to get up top w/o getting raped.

Yeah just make sure on elongation both teams spawn right near the area of their color ramp (either down below their ramp or just at the top of it before the computer and even maybe a few beside it down below next to the belt) and not at their base. So actually it makes it where both teams are the same distance from both powerups. On elongation it would now be a much more fun FFA map. Also I like the idea of putting the OS up top and the CAMO below. If you put the OS up top random nades thrown up there and getting shot too won't just get you raped. If you have the camo below you can also come out of there invisible so you can really have a better element of suprise.

Agreed, Camo on bottom, OS top. And what do you guys think about Powerups at shotgun spawns in Elongation, with the shotguns moving to PP spawns and the PP's moving to magnum spawns? Seems, as I said, like it should provide some more intense combat and a bit more of a fight for the powerups.
