Alright. Now that I've got H2:CE at a fairly good stage of development, I want to start having some tournaments. No cash prizes/entry fees, just ranking and achievement, for now. With these tournaments, we could all obtain higher skill as competitive players, and be ranked within the community with a TRUE rank. There's going to be no chance of cheaters, because this is XBC, and people can be kicked, we'll have a true measure of skill.

I would like to set up a bi-weekly tournament, one on a weekday, and one on a weekend. In this forum, I would like you guys to discuss...
* The gametypes included in the tournament
* What types of games should be played (IE: 8-man FFA, 4v4, etc...)
* What dates the tournaments will be on
* Your own tournaments

Hopefully we could get some good competitive gameplay going in the coming months.

Yeah hopefully soon. I say we stick very close to MLG. All the MLG official rules apply.

I say Midship 8 person FFA for all FFAs and the top 4 from each game advances to the next round and seed the teams depending on how well they did in FFA or make it seperate.

Lockout TS
Midship TS
Warlock TS
Sanctuary TS (weapon set would be sniper/pistol)
Midship CTF(to 5 captures)
Elongation CTF(to 5 captures)
Beaver Creek CTF(to 3 captures)
Midship Oddball(all oddball games set to 5:00)
Lockout Oddball

I think it should follow the MLG gametype settings with The h2ce pistol/ar start instead of BR, everything else is nice.

Also a bad thing is in ctf games it is SO hard to do anything with a fast paced flag guy on BC, MIDDY, WARLOCK, etc.

The objective gametypes are what make tourneys tourneys.

True, but objectives should only be used 4v4. I think there should be some 2v2 games too.

Objective games work for 3v3, and smaller maps would work for 2v2 hill and ctf.

There aren't enough people playing to get 4v4 teams organized. So I think it's best it stay at the 2v2 level.

Yeah. Plus, I don't even care seeing as how I'm done playing on Monday.
