Hanging in the Great Hall

The Great Hall had a spectacular view, the ceiling had been replaced with a glourious blue sky; unlit candles hovered overhead; four long tables occupied the flour and a magnificantly carved table stood at te oter end of the hall pointing toward the other four.

Chloe McConnell walked into the Great Hall with two other Ravenclaw girls. It was two o'clock, so the meal was over. Many students used the hall as a social place between meals; students played chess all over; some studied with books and parchment spread across a large part of the table; others simply chatted with friends.

Chloe, Jenni and Leanne passed people playing exploding snap, wizards chess an talking in larg groups about the front cover ofthe prophet.
They took a seat at the end of the Ravenclaw table (Although between meals you dont have to sit at your hosue table)which seemed rather empty complaired to other parts of the hall.

"So Chloe, when you gonna tel us where you got that nasty cut on your cheek?" Leanne had asked, "If your sister finds out she'll go mad and Mada Pomfrey has been trying to lure you to the hospital wing all day."
"I did tell you!" Chloe retorted, "I was dueling in te prefect common room, but the level was too high." She shook her head slightly.
"Oh yeah, well the point is you should get it checked out," Jenni added, "It looks nasty, suprised you didn't los all the blood in your head."
"Guys just drop it" Chloe snapped, slightly fustrated. The group fell silent

Danielle entered the Great Hall in a fuse and sat down with a Gryffindor boy at the Gryffindor table and started to talk rapidly. Maddi soon entered after word and sat at the Hufflepuff Table and begain to read her Daily Proffet rividly.
Danielle flirted with the Gryffindor intently as she did she twiddled her hair and spoke in a soft sexy voice. Which most of the time she did anyway.
Maddi put down the newspaper and glared at Danielle for a few minutes.

Chloe and her friends had been looking around the great hall in silence. All of asudden Danielle and Maddi burst in.
Danielle seemed to be angry or fustrated, and sat down beside a Gryffindor boy and began twirling her hair.
"What do you think's wrong with her?" Chloe wondered a loud.
"No idea, but she seems pissed" Jenni said and shrugged.
Maddi walked to the Hufflepuff table and sat down reading her prophet.
"Hmmm.. odd" Chloe whispered, "Maybe they fell out?"
"I dunno, you could always ask" Leanne offered

Maddi had taken out her wand and stared to draw words on a parchment, that Danielle could seem to be readying across the room. Danielle frowned at her every once and a while when she read it and Maddi did the same.

Chloe's attention had been consumed by the constant frowning from Danielle and Maddi, but she said nothing.
"So Nick said this summer he's booking us a trip in France, how romantic?" Leanne has said
"But you're only sixteen?" Jenni replied Jenni
"Well he's booking ut for the end of the holidys, we'll be siventeen by then." Leanne retorted, "SO we'll be able to apparate there"
"That's assuming you pass your test!" Jenni sniggered. Leanne threw her a dirty look and turned her attention elsewhere.
"Jesus Crist Chloe, just ask one of them!" Leanne said, "Or you'll become obsessed with it."
"Shut your face Leanne," Chloe sneered, "It's none of my buisness!"

Maddi and Danielle had now been mouthig nasty things to each other. But Danielle still tried to flirt with the Gryffindor boy who could do nothing but stair at Danielle's chest. Maddi was snarling at her but was no longer upset just mad at her friend who was now rubbing the Gryffindors arm.

"Chloe please go over and ask one of them!" Jenni said, "Cause now I really want to know what's up with them!"
Chloe frowned, "Do it yourself, I'm not your slave"
"I didn't say you were!" Jenni retorted, "And I think they like you bettwer than us"
"I doubt that!" Chle said and after a few moments resigned to the Hufflepuff tabl, which was the closest of the tables.
"Erm, Maddi. hi" Chloe said, feeling rather awkward, "Are you alright?"

Maddi was raised up with her wand pointed directly at Danielle. She saw Chloe so she sat down and put her wand right infront of her."Oh yes...I am fine."she said with a smile.

Chloe seemed shocked that Maddi had whipped her wand out an now feld it in her direction.
"What's up with you and Danielle?" Chloe asked, there was no point beating around the bush, "Did you guys fall out or something?"

Jenni and Leanne watched Chloe with excitment, "Do you she'ss tell her?" one of them said
A random boy walked up to them, "Afternoon ladies, would any of you care to play a game of wizards chess?"
"Get lost, loser!" Leanne retorted

The doors of the Grandhall opened and two idetically small Slytherin girls skipped in holding hand. Ther golden-blonde hair bounced in harmony with them.

Maddi turnd and smiled."Well she dumped Adam."She held her smile."But right after Adam dumped her. Its confusing really. He says there are better girls then her. Danielle says he is not good enough for her and she said to me that I should be with Adam because we are more a like then she said that she was a better girl then me and she should be with better guys then Adam but I am good enough for him."she smiled still.

Chloe tried to take the whole thing in, "Er.. well that certainly is confussing" she murmered
A stroke of guilt passed through her. It had to be more than a coincidence that Adam and Danielle broke up the mornig after Adam and Chloe shared a almost-intimate moment in the Prefect common room.
She held the cut on her cheek as if trying to hide any evidence o last night.
"It seems unfair that you got dragged into their breakup, I guess Danielle's just trying to take her anger out on someone." she shrugged sympathetically

"The thing is she isn't mad at him at all. She was just insulted because she thinks shes the best not anyone else. People would kill to be with Danielle. Adam just isn't one of those people. He hates those types of girls. Although he is always friends with them. Adam did nothing wrong...at all."She looked over at Danielle then back at Chloe."She just wants someone better thats all."

Chloe raised her eyebrow, "I couldn't understand why people would kill to be with her.. I mean she's nice somtimes, but she use to try and make me jealous before by being all oer Adam, which didn't wok for her really; and she's way to arrogant."
Chloe shrugged and sat down beside Maddi finally.

"Yah I guess but she is gorgoues and well figured if you know what I mean."she smiled."but not all guys look at that. Adam doesn't."She smiled."She tried to make you jealous huh thats funny. Did you get jealous?, I mean did you ever kinda like him? if you don't mind me asking that is?"

Chloe returnd her smil, although perhas a bit more feebley tan she would have liked.

"No never" Chloe shrugged, "I never like him like that." which was true, it had ony been last night she had felt anything like that towards Adam, although she did not plan on haring this wit anyone.
Chloe fll silent hoping that Maddi would ay something in response as Chloe could think of nothing

Maddi smiles."yet you know of his illegal secret."she smiled."the animegaus stuff."she looked around."never felt that way huh. well I guess."
Adam had now come into the Great hall and sat next to Chloe and Maddi.
"She still firting with every guy in sight?" Adam said with a laugh to Maddi.
"what else. She walked up to some random Ravenclaw and started to make out with him for no reason just to piss me off." she smiled.
"oh well she'll get over it." he said as he smiled flirtatiously at Chloe.

Chloe's heart lept as she saw Ada entr the hall.
"Hi Adam" two sall Slytherin Twins said as he passed them to join Maddi ad CHloe
"She still firting with every guy in sight?" Adam said with a laugh to Maddi.
"what else. She walked up to some random Ravenclaw and started to make out with him for no reason just to piss me off." she smiled.
"oh well she'll get over it." he said as he smiled flirtatiously at Chloe.
Chloe snuck a smile back for a moment and then turned to look at the to Ravenclaw girls that eretrying to signal her to return back to their table.

Adam smiled at the two slytherin girls, but turned away to smile at Chole again.
Maddi saw the calling of Chole back to the table. "Stay here Chole don't back to them. Stay with us."she said with a smile.
"yah Chole..stay."he said in a very sexy voice and his flirty smile.

"I um.. ok" Chloe shrugged giving an apologetic look to her two frowning friends.
"So, how is everyone?" she asked stupidly.
The words to one of her abnd songs fel thog her head as she looked at Adam

Chloe shook hed as if tring to rid the thoughts from her head

Adam smiled at her. Maddi saw this.
"I guess we are fine."Maddi said weirdly.
Adam made serious eye contact with her. He felt very attracted to her physicaly and mentaly.
