Hanging in the Great Hall

Jaida entered the hall, some books and quills in hand, it was something she usually had with her, incase boredom struck and she actually wanted to get her homework done, not that it was ever late or poorly done, she always had it done on time, usually done with latenight cram sessions in the common room and such.

Dropping her books on the table and running one hand through her shoulder length red hair, she sat down and started flipping through the pages of a book, she seen a few people she recognized when she let her eyes wander, but not anyone too well, this caused her to just pick up her book and get her studying done whether she liked it or not

Chloe had turned her attention away from the Hufflepuffs, an awkeardness had arisen which Chloe could not break.
She noticed Jaida had entered the hall, apparently wnting to get some work done. Chloe hoped that she might come over and say hi, but she sat down at another table, across from the two adorale SLytherin twins who were giggling.

Lilith and Jezebel Steel had been having a contest to see who could make the funniest face.
Lilith waved her wand and muttered something under breath, seconds later her nose was replaced by a skin-colored tree branch. They burst into fits of giggles.
A 6th year Ravenclaw girl had at across from them and scanned the hall; as if loking for someone she recognized. She then picked up a large book and began to study
"Do you study alot?" Jezebel asked sweetly, "Our cousin does, she's in Ravenclaw too, but she doesn't study all the time"
"She's real cool, but we don't see her much cause our father doesn't want us talking to anyone that isn't pureblood" Lilith added
"Do you know her? Her names Chloe" they said in unison

Adam had his attention away from Chloe and Maddi and was at the girl sitting with the Slytherin twins.
Maddi looked up at Adam and smiled.
Adam was very interested in this girl he had not seen beffore. It was odd, one second he was flirting with Chole and the next completly uninterested that she sat beside him. He had never done that beffore he was usually honest and stuck with one girl. In the case with Danielle he never liked her in this recent relationship but was forced into one with her.

Danielle noticed Adam looking at the Ravenclaw that sat with the twins. She smiled her devilish smile and went over to her ignoring the Gryffindor that was still gazing at her chest. Danielle sat down beside her and smiled."Danielle."she said sticking her hand out."Hufflepuff house."

As Chloe sat there, completley bored out her mind, she noticed that Leanne and Jenni had stood up form their table and finally decided to re-join Chloe
Thank God Chloe sighed in relief.
"Hey Chloe" Leanne said, "Thanks for leaving us!" She threw her a dirty look which Chloe knew meant 'You were only suppose to find out why Danielle and Maddi were pissed off at each other.. not sit down with them!'
"You did it to me in Hogsmeade," Chloe chuckled, "It's the least I could do"

Jenni and Leanne sat down and said nothing more about it.
"Isn't that, that girl Jade or Jaida or something - the one near the twins?" Jenni asked
"Yeah, I didn't know you knew her" Chloe said suprised
"I don't. I've just seen her around, she keeps herself to herself from what I've seen" Jenni replied
"Yeah I got that about her; although she seems nice - I was talking to her the other day in the common room" Chloe shrugged

Adam ignored the conversation.

[Spydie]

Suddenly, a dark blur whirred into the great hall. Spydie was jumping under and over tables in a hurry. She dove under the Slytherin table, but sticking straight into the air (and ferret-print undies visible under her uniform skirt). She grabbed at a random girl's bag, digging through to find her ferret, Lightning, chowing on a chocolate frog stashed away in there.

"Gotcha!" she cried triumphantly. She took another chocolate frog from her own bag and placed it on the table. She smiled nervously at the girl whose bag was raided by her own pudgy weasel, but she found that there were two! 'I must just be seeing double...or dreaming,' she thought to herself, beginning to back away slowly.

Lilith and Jezebel stared at the girl who had lept under the table and was now looking through one of their bags. Their eyes were open wide with shock at the site.
"What are you doing?" Lilith asked nervously, she noticed a small animal in her bag and the girl grabbed and looked at her.
"Gotcha!" she cried triumphantly.
"What is that?" Jezebel squealed, "Is that a rat?"

Chloe had been sitting at the other end of the hall incredibly bored, everything and everything in the great hall seemed very uninteresting. Suddenly a blur of black and green ran through the tables and dived underneath the Slytherin table.
Chloe's lifted her ead to see what she was doing; and she was not the only one. Chloe recognised the girl but count remember how.

[Spydie]

"Is that a rat?"

"Technically, its a ferret." Spydie replied, in all to familiar words. She gave a big, awkward grin to the twins. She placed her ferret on her shoulder and held out her hand to one of them. "I'm Spydie, I just transferred here from Gnox Academy for Witches and Sorceresses for my seventh year."

She drew back her hand slowly, realizing that several students were peeking their heads up at her grand entrance. She blushed a deep red and gave another awkward smile to those staring at her. She spotted Chloe at the other end of the hall and ran over to greet her.

"Hey! How's your shin?" she said, approaching her.
