Activity?

This site has a really nice feel to it. Good story idea. Interesting characters.


That said...the lack of activity from admins/mods makes it hard, with the restrictions on starting characters, for anyone new to get into the story.

Hate to see potential new players lose interest from lack of ability to do anything.

Lionchilde and I have been working to fix that problem. I'm hoping to come up with some solutions today....

Unfortunately, Jason and I do have some problems getting the time to get on and post, although hopefully I'll be able to be more active.

Zorin, I'm sorry if this sounds rude, I'm really not trying to be, but I'm on this site several times a day and aware of what's going on whether I have time to post or not. You were approved as soon as I was able to do so, the same day that you posted your character bio. If someone loses interest that quickly, I'm sorry to say, they really don't have the patience for text RPing. I've RPed on large sites where some players only had the ability to post once a week...

Not really room for Idan on KC anymore since it's not a crossover anymore. Talia's really stuck too. The only reason I could keep her is because she already left Starfleet, but I haven't really known what to do with her since.

This site came up in a long conversation in another board. Not sure the name used here...but one of the players there was very unhappy about times it took to get responses.

I'm in the service industry, OOC, and I know word of mouth either makes or breaks pretty much anything.

I figured I'd pass on to the admin/mods here what was being said about the board elsewhere is all.

And for the record.....I seem to have no problems generating admin/mod/other responses to my posts......as is eveident from this one.

People have been talking about us? Smeesh....

This board...and a few dozen others....lots of PM side traffic mostly...since that board has serious rules about talking about other boards.
That was how I first found this place.

I think I'm aware of what you're talking about, and if I'm not mistaken, the person in question wasn't approved because the character bio didn't make sense. I won't approve a character whose history conflicts with the site story, nor will approve someone who obviously hasn't read the rules.

Not sure the reasons...but it did spark several hours of PM traffic conversation.

But, to be clear....this post had nothing to do with my involvement, or acceptance to the board, and if I offended anyone, I apologize.

No offense was taken. Although in my personal opinion, the fact that several hours of PM traffic was spent discussing the situation is, while flattering, perhaps indicative of the fact that the person may be taking role play a bit too seriously.

It was agroup of people...tag team PM's...so to speak..and we discussed a number of sites...I merely mentioned it here, since I had just become an active meber here.

If we are all good though...I think maybe this person was who you think...since this topic has had no shortage of fast response...but as it has little to do with Role Playing...shall we move on?

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo SOrry that I haven't been on in a while...I just don't have as much time as I used to...I;m trying to get all my chars out of the way so I won't hold up the RP...Srry about not posting TIkar the other noght my interent died and I had no chance to get on sense then. Sorry.

Aside from that, the mods usually have characters they want to play too, and they can only do so much and get to only so many people.
