Title: Worming discus

Hi guys ,Sorry to be a pain,But just trying to get well prepared before i bring my discus home.I have been reading up on some information and came across a few articles relating to worming discus.This is new to me as before i had the reef tank i had a tropical communiy tank that had parrots,severums etc.Could someone please tell me more about worming discus or a link i could go on to that has all the info on what they are how to treat when to treat etc.Would be much appreciated.Thankyou :huh:

i didnt know anything either the best person to ask is granville but i would advise that worm everytime you get new fish but g is the person 2 speak to as he helped me as i didnt know any of it ethier

Hi Yazz,
Discus should be wormed, most carry large amounts of intestinal parasites.............
Check with the person you are buying your stock from to see if they have been treated, they should be as part of the quarantine process, but some suppliers are lax in this department,
The new regulations prevent too much information being supplied here, but if your fish haven't been treated, add to this thread,

Hey Yazz,
Don't worry if your fish haven't been wormed, it can be easily sorted, but don't let the seller know, it's a bargaining point to get a discount!!!!
Hopefully it will make them do it next time, if they have been treated, ask what with just to be sure, we can talk you through it,

honest i wormed my fish best thing ive done hope g was helpfull im expecting new fish soon so i think my fish will be happy wi the new fish B)
