as anyone here had any experience using external heaters like hydor?
and would a 300 kw good enough for a 300 litre tank?

Hi Dave,

Never used the Hydor heater, but theoretically the 300W heater is suffice for a 300L tank, if I remember correctly it is 1 watt of power per 1 ltr of water.

At present I use two 300W heaters in my tank which holds 300 ltrs, this is due to where the tank is situated right now in the conservatory, not really ideal, where the ambient temp in winter is colder/cooler, & in the summer will be warmer which I will have too keep an eye on.
