Description: How to use?

Err..this may sound like a dumb question but if you don't ask
This is my first sponge filter, its the Huey Hung WG02. Do I just stick the air line down the tube?
Is there suppose to be any bubbles coming out the sponge?
There seems to be another small tube next to the main tube, does anyone know what this is suppose to be for?

Vu you connect your airline to the small tube, the air bubbles come out of the large tube and draw water through the sponge in the process...........................

how do I know how much air there should be going through the line??

You should be getting a constant stream of bubbles, but not too fast, enough to discturb the surface is best, or if you have the top out the water by say an inch , you should be getting a constant flow of water/bubble mixed
