I'm using both types of trickle system with Siporax as filter media, aerobic and anaerobic. Attached picture of some trickle towers.

I'm thinking about adding one too, slightly stuck for space in my cabinet so it will have to be a trickle tower, good idea to have a section not submerged in water
letting both the aerobic & anaerobic bacteria to multiply like rabbits.

Hi Phill,

No more dodgy than any other filters, but they do stop working if you turn the flow rate up, but any filter where there are dead areas will turn anaerobic naturally, and that's the safest..............

Cheers G
