treasure chest, buried treasure, "do not touch"

Wel i didn't try it yet but if i read right in the list of updates it is stated under:
"other updates" so this mean it is not part of the wintersday quests aswell the things only for wintersday

For the people who already made the chestrun!!!

I found a post on GWonline that the chests are re-activated again. (Phil tested it and it works, so no pulling your legs here!!!!)

Looks like something went wrong with the update the 20th and that you can make your run again.

Its likely that A-net is aware of that, concidering a big amount of people did the run a second time, they just left it.

Also some people think they might recet it monthly but thats just speculation.

Personaly i do think something went wrong and A-net left it as it was, meaning that it has receted for one time only.

So i would say, guys get your gear out and make your runs before its too late

On the Sub forum (ie this one is Chapter 3 Nightfall) there are 3 drop boxes to choose your settings the last one says cut off on ages of posts you can change it to all if you like.

Can someone answer some questions for me about these treasure chests.... I did the lot with my derv, and got a good amount, so I was thinking of doing the same on my other chars. But then I saw on wiki that apparently if you do the chests with 2 chars quickly after one another, then the gold and loot that you get is dramatically decreased. It said to wait a month before trying again with another char.

Also Sensei and Fums said something on chat about the chests resetting... wiki says nothing about this - how often does this happen? I need money

A friend of me told me that it resets after a month.

but that it is less valuable treasure. if you wait longer the loot becomes more valuable.
and that the maximum waiting time about 3 months is.

I haven't tested this out yet (because i don't have nightfall that long).

But every time you touch a treasure chest it resets, so if you tough it before 1 month has past you'll get nothing and the treasure chest resets an you have to wait at least another month to gain something from it.

nothing is know for certain, just rumors and theories.
the only one who knows how program works is the developers

btw my ranger has opened those chests once, when nitefall was released....and i still cant open them for a second time.....
all my other chars have opened them alteast twice.

Im with Kev here.....been reading a lot bout it on diff forums.....been doing runs with my 16 chars......only thing certain is that its completly random.

Had chars that got purple and shit on the first run, have chars that after 4 times still get diamonds and money.....

Bleh seems noone knows... no wonder wiki is so brief about it

The chests do reset monthly, did most off em more then 5 times with my ranger.
The drops are totally random, no quickly after=decrease stuff.

this is not true, I did the do not touch in Vabbi 3 times, first loot was 1.3k and a purple second was 1.7k and a gold, and the last one was 1.9k and a diamond.

It probably said that you have to wait a month with the same character due to touching within 1 month will reset the treasure.
