(( I'm sorry I haven't been able to post sooner, had to go on and airplane for eight hours and have just figured out how to work the internet. I might not be on all day, but I'll try to squess in a couple of minutes each night after running around all day. :D ))
A silver and black female reindeer trotted through the thick snow hesitatently. Black hooves crushing the snow beneith her slowly as buried twigs snapped and twisted underneith. Tall pines showered in curtains of snow moaned to them selves as twitching blue birds landed on the tips of their fingers before flying off with a crash of white powder behind them. Her slim antlers weighing heavily on rich black crown as the two of them sat quietly apart from each other while white flakes bathed them in cold warmth. Puffs of air slowly crawling up her frozen throut before greeting the winter air around her briefly- then dissapearing. Silver and black dipped muzzle swaying toward the earth below as it nugged away the thick clumps of snow deep down. Searching for a few struggling leaves to eat under the stiffening snow, but finding no luck as she soon realized that she had been scavenging in a dry area for a while.
Zuki had smelled a few caribou around her. Not very strong scents, just old ones here and there, but she could tell a herd had passed through here a long time ago. Maybe even a couple of season since it seem's they had cleaned out half of the valley pretty well. Either that, or she was just to tired to scavenge properly. It wasn't really her lucky day today. Meeting a bear late for hibernation, and rather grumpy too. Having just found the most perfect grazing area, she had to sprint very quickly to get away from that beast. A great nusence it was. It was a great area too... Though now she had to venture here, stepping through the thick snow slowly as she had already figured out someone was watching her. She felt no threat yet, but being alone she couldn't take many chances. She could find a herd easily, but not many took in wanders during the winter when food was so scarce- and she did not need to be surrounded by more enimies and traitors then needed. Zuki was a bit paranoid, yes, sometimes. But she had perfect reason to do so. Not one life was worth of trust, yes, true. Not one. Looking this way, and that, she craned her neck to spie anyone watching her. Her vision a bit blurry from staying up all night, she decided no one was around and let her muzzle fall back to the earth to chew on a few strands of less-then-thriving grass. It wasn't much, but it was around the time she ate everyday. Dusk, yes, dusk- once at dawn, and once at dusk. . .
(( Sorry for the lowzy post, being rushed right now to go to an auction. So much old funiture... why can't they get it another time. ))
