Avant-garde (pronounced /ɑvɑ̃ gɑʁd/) in French means front guard, advance guard, or vanguard. The term is commonly used in French, English, and German to refer to people or works that are experimental or novel, particularly with respect to art, culture, and politics.Avant-garde represents a pushing of the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm, or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm.

Beauty has been captured throughout the ages in a variety of different forms. Today, it is predominantly captured within the media, and is exploited by the fashion world. The most cutting edge photographers strive to produce an image that we can call 'beautiful'. But what is beautiful? By challenging the common stereotypes of the traditional 'beauty shot', avant garde photographers are creating art in their own right - pushing the boundaries of what beautiful really means.
This contest will explore these ideas and produce cutting edge beauty shots. Is your model cut out for it?

+ There will be 8-10 rounds in total.
+Each round you will be given a moodboard which will aid you in your weekly photoshoot.
+ 10-12 girls will be selected.
+ Simpose is not necessary, nor is a great deal of editing skills.
+I will edit the pictures each round.
+It's not about the pose. It's about the beauty.
+Casting will go until I have chosen my girls. It wont be first come first served.
+Any model can apply; she doesn't have to be new.
+Newbies welcome.
