A redheaded woman clothed in a black faux coat, white tights and red shoes struts down the path and places herself down at a fountain. It’s a beautiful winter’s day – blue clear skies with the remaining snow from the previous day still smudged across the park. The redhead snatches out a cellphone from her handbag as she positions her legs in a rather modelesque way. As she pulls her white oversized Chanel sunglasses off her face, the voice on the receiving end of the call picks up.

“Hello?”
“It’s time,”

She hangs up the phone, picks her belongings off the fountain ledge and heads towards the busy road. With loud clunking stilettos and a Chanel fragrance that was impossible to miss from a mile a way, it was not a surprise the woman had half of Manhattan watching her. As she flipped her fringe off her face, she zig zagged her way through the typical NYC traffic jam and continued strutting the streets until she came to an old abandoned factory. The doors were open, so she made no effort in breaking in. I mean, she wouldn’t anyways – her nail could’ve broken.

She approached a desk in the middle of the factory. Sitting on one of the stools,the redhead got out a clipboard. A silence fell over the huge building. The woman rolled her eyes and picked up her cellphone.

“Why aren’t they here? I AM WAITING,”
“They’re ready,”

“Bring them in. I swear if these bitches don’t live up to cycle 4 – i’m gonna scream...,”




It's back, with a whole new definition of POISE. Last season we saw 20 women transform into potentially fierce supermodels. This cycle, we're adding in a little testosterone. 8 girls and 8 guys will be selected to evolve from wannabes into celebrities in the new mindblowing season of POISE.

POISE 5 is the fifth season of one of the worlds longest ongoing contests. The first cycle of POISE was hosted at a small proboards forum back in early 2007. From then on, it evolved, grew, got better and finally moved to SCF in early 2008 to expand the fourth season.

Every cycle, there is always a drastic change. In this season, you will see two major differences from POISE 4.

1. Adelayde Jokovich has reportedly murdered Chloe Summers and hijacked the contest...
2. MEN will be allowed to compete this season.

POISE 5 is going to be the most successful cycle of them all. We're going to new levels of organization - such as a calendar which will ensure the contest does not drag on. Optional challenges held during the judging deliberation so there is always something to do. And most importantly - the rolelplay is going to be the BEST we've ever seen.

1. POISE 5 IS A MIXED FREE CONTEST.
2. MALE AND FEMALE APPLICANTS MUST BE AGED BETWEEN 16 AND 25.
3. APPLICANTS MAY ORIGINATE FROM ANYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD - BUT MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK BASIC ENGLISH.
4. THIS SEASON WE'RE GETTING EVEN HARSHER ON DROPOUTS. UNLESS YOU HAVE A VALID EXCUSE, YOU WILL BE REPORTED WITHOUT WARNING.
5. FAMILIARIZE THE SCHEDULE. (See below)
6. ROLEPLAY IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED, IT IS ALMOST MANDATORY. CONFESSIONALS WILL BE REQUIRED EVERY WEEK FROM EVERY CONTESTANT THOUGH.
7. SKILLS IN FRANKENSTEINING AND/OR SIMPOSE ARE ESSENTIAL. SIMMERIZING IS NOT ALLOWED.
8. MAKEOVERS WILL BE GIVEN IN ROUND 2.
9. REGARDING EXTENSIONS, SEE BELOW.
10. GOING ON A HOLIDAY? NOT AN EXCUSE TO DROP OUT. PM ME FOR EARLY ROUNDS.
11. YOU MAY ENTER UP TO 3 APPLICANTS. TRY AND ENTER BOTH FEMALE AND MALE SIMS.

To ensure this contest does not drag on, POISE 5 is introducing a new procedure in the form of a calendar and schedule. Due to incompletion, the calendar will be posted when the final cast is announced. However, here is a brief run through of what goes on:

EVERY ROUND IS POSTED ON A THURSDAY. YOU THEN HAVE UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MONDAY (11 Days - including two weekends) TO GET AN ENTRY IN. From MONDAY TO THURSDAY there will be an OPTIONAL CHALLENGE. During this time the judges will also be writing up their comments. PANEL AND THE NEXT ROUND WILL BE POSTED TOGETHER ON THE THURSDAY.

Because of this, we are only going to give out extensions of 24 HOURS. You will also only have 2 VALID EXTENSIONS TO USE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE COMPETITION - SO USE THEM WISELY!
