Oh Mah Word. -dies-
What the hail!
No one touches RiRi. :hand:
Srsly, that ain't right.
Lou - February 11, 2009 01:44 AM (GMT)
I said this would happen since they were dating. LOL.
And lookit.. haha, and he needs to go suck a big D. And stay in his house. lol
And we were talking about this in class 2 days ago. Unless his lawyer does an amazing job he definately has time. Especially since there is proof that he did abuse her. And he is facing battery felony charges. So hes f***ed lol
jaysun - February 11, 2009 01:49 AM (GMT)
I particularly don't care for both, but you can't believe everything you read.
Also, who are these people who release information like this? Like honestly, if police reports and documentation like that, especially from celebrities can be accessed so easily like that then we should know who the American Idol is (without waiting till Wednesday, after Ryan's continuous annoying "After the Break..." comments) and a ton of other stuff.

OMGGGG Im watchin that right now... :( And they just cut like 4 of my faves, including Michael Castro. :( I is sad.
kaitealyn - February 11, 2009 06:13 AM (GMT)
Riri has canceled like all of her upcoming concerts and her 21st birthday party this month, and hasnt been seen in public and T.I has talked to chris and chris is "chill", lol. Ri is coporating with the LAPD and chris is charged with not felony battery, he's charged with criminal threats which can mean up to 9 years in prison. criminal threats means the victim fears for their life. and riri allegedly has bite marks and bruises and had to be hospitalized.
ofc you can't believe everything, but if things were super happy in their relationship you think one of them would be sure to be pap'd by now. if she wasn't hurt she wouldnt be leaving people to speculate n conclude that chris did harm her.
he comes from a family history of abuse and it is a cycle process, learned behavior and all that. even if you never think you would it's just ingrained into you.
there was also a witness who made the 911 call at the scene at the party tho chris bailed before they showed.
....why yes i spend half my day on jezebel.com y u ask.
whole this it o me, if it's rhianna or not, it doesn't matter - you don't hit anyone, woman or otherwise. i hope he serves his time (though you know it wont be the full nine years) and at least does some theraphy and makes psa's or something and helps people see it's NOT OK to do shit like this.
plus the la times i think as far as i remember DID out that it was rhianna as the victim, so~ dickish thing to do, but still. :/
ashleydoll - February 11, 2009 06:30 AM (GMT)
If it wasn't Rihanna and this was all just rumor, you think either one of their publicists would have come out already and tried to deny it, but they haven't. So for now, we have to believe it as true.
And like Kait said, Rihanna canceled all of her upcoming events AND wasn't at the Grammy's as she was scheduled to be.
Also there were apparently bite marks on her arms and stuff? What a vicious animal. Plus there goes his career. Wrigley's and Got Milk? are pulling all of his ads/commercials and one radio station has already stopped playing his music.
Lou - February 11, 2009 06:33 AM (GMT)
True kait, I can't believe he brought himself to actually touch her, even if she did infect him wit something as one of the rumors say. You don't just hit her, its super wrong and I think domestic and mental abuse is just wrong in any way. I have seen cases like that, with friends and family. And it's just something that stays with you forever. And like u said I hope he serves his time... that ass-hole. lmaooo.
Simlo2.0 - February 11, 2009 07:04 AM (GMT)
Okay I've been on all the blogs and the whole thing put me in awe when I heard the thing on Sunday. Never really was a Chris fan in the first place and for him to do this it just makes me not like him more. Number 1 you don't ever put your hands on a woman. Thats just something as the "man" he claims to be shouldn't do. With a back story of his mother being a victim of abuse why would he do something like that.
As far as his career, I really don't see him emerging from this. Losing endorsements, radio stations pulling his music, and I'm sure its just gonna get worse. I mean can we take a page from the book of Ike&Tina. Ike fell of the face of the earth after the movie "Whats Love Got To Do With It" and Tina emerged as the legend that she is today. Chris should have thought about the consequences of his actions before this whole thing went down. It being Rihanna just makes it worse for him.
This boy can end up facing 9 years in jail, I'm sure less if convicted. Okay guys all jokes aside prison is just not for someone who looks like Chris Brown. He hired the same lawyer who handled MJ's case but in Chris's case I don't know how this can help because it's just to much hard evidence of physical bruises on Rihanna to deny the fact that he hit her. What he did is a felony and they are not going to go easy on him just because he is a celebrity. But if he ends up being convicted and has to do some time all I can say is good luck on him coming out of there the same way he went in.
Ben - February 11, 2009 07:16 AM (GMT)
Fail.
All I can say.
What an idiot - he's gonna lose everything now. (including Rihanna... damn if I dated her i'd be holding on to her for as long as I could!)
jadeO_o - February 11, 2009 10:12 AM (GMT)
When i read this on the news i was completely shocked.Really...a man is not to be called a man if he beats a woman. It's really disgusting.Even worse if it's your girlfriend. But we all know many boyfriends do that to their girfriends, and well,it's sad but it's the truth :(
I found them as a super cute couple and i though they were beautiful together.I could never in a million years think Chris Brown would have done something like that...probably because i had no idea he had similar situations happened in his family,as Kait said in her posts, and i too strongly believe that these things leave deep scars in your personality, even if you don't realize... :(
RazzaJazza - February 11, 2009 10:49 AM (GMT)
Awww. Poor BB Pon De Forehead.
Really. This is so sad. I feel sorry for Riri, and Chris has pretty much just ruined his entire career. (Or should... but. People have done bad things before and their music still gets airplay.)
But for realz. What a freaking idiot.

| As more and more radio stations across the U.S. and Canada decide to stop playing his music…. The horrific details continue to come out about exactly what happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna last weekend. It's been revealed that after pulling over in Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, RiRi snatched Brown's keys from the ignition and tossed them out onto the street. Chris became livid, and he "put his hands around her neck and said 'I'm going to kill you!'" Awful!!!!! It gets even worse. "(She) told police that she lost consciousness… her right eye was blackened and badly swollen and she had handprints on her arms." Rihanna was in such bad shape when police arrived, the officers decided not to take any chances and drive her straight to the hospital instead of taking the time to wait for an ambulance. And where was Chris Brown during all of this? The douche fled from the scene!!!! Not cool, Chris, not cool at all. |
Whatwhat O_o
'this is getting out fo hand.
ShortyBoo - February 11, 2009 04:20 PM (GMT)
I never did really like Chris Brown. In fact, the only song I like of his is "With You" and I would have never heard it if it hadn't been in the VS fashion show. Is he really 19, though? I always thought he was way younger. He only looks like 15 or 16 to me. Anyway, I am a fan of Rihanna and I couldn't believe it when I heard about this. I think the main reason everyone knew Rihanna was the victim is because it was right after they left the pre-Grammy party that night. Plus, why would he be with anyone else? Everyone knows they were dating.
And I don't blame Rihanna for not wanting to appear in public. When my last boyfriend beat me back in 2004, I didn't want to leave the house. I had a broken nose, huge lumps on my head where he smashed a lamp over it and a really bad black eye. Even though I knew I was the victim, I didn't want anyone to see me. I hate guys who do this to women. My dad beat my mom as well, so I'm a little sensitive on the subject. I hope Rihanna moves on and finds someone better because she deserves better than that.
And as for Chris Brown, I hope his career is ended because of this. He's already lost his Double Mint and Got Milk contracts and I hope his record label drops him as well.
Haughtysims - February 11, 2009 07:10 PM (GMT)
It's never okay to hit anyone, especially girls. I hope my son learns this from me and remembers it.

Not really the same thing. Ike publicly abused Tina. Band mates, backup singers, close friends, & his and her own children have all witnessed several years of Ike beating Tina. Much different to an one time alleged altercation like Chris and Rihanna's.
I'm not doubting the incident at all, but in general I tend to not believe everything I read concerning celebrities. Someone had mentioned that their publicist would have said something if the incident weren't true. Well Angelina's publicist never confirmed her pregnancy with the twins to my knowledge and Beyonce's publicist didn't confirm or deny her marriage. (until Beyonce did herself).
Whatever the case, this is a horrible situation but hopefully everything works out.

Oh Shorty, thats horrible :( and I'm glad you aren't seeing him anymore. But before reports came out, I just thought that Rihanna was just supporting her boyfriend, like standing by him but I didn't know she was the victim (allegedly).
ashleydoll - February 11, 2009 08:46 PM (GMT)
Pregnancies and marriage are completely different things than physically harming someone. Pregnancy and marriage tend to be viewed as good things, things that won't ruin your career. If this situation weren't true, both of their parties would have come out and said something, because this is obviously hurting Chris's career very, very badly.
Donnatella - February 11, 2009 10:02 PM (GMT)
I always hated Chris Brown. He's so ugly and strange. I love Rihanna so much, just because she's so sassy and alive XD.
It's not okay to hit anyon PERIOD. I hope Mr. Brown gets locked up and his career goes down the toilet. He's a douche.
Melaxus - February 11, 2009 10:03 PM (GMT)
I heard they were pulling his double mint gum commercial thing, but, I saw it after American Idol yesterday! :ph43r:
And, yea, everyone's pretty much said what I would've said. I always thought Chris Brown was way over-rated anyway.

I think they are pulling them at the end of the week.
slice - February 11, 2009 10:33 PM (GMT)
haha yeah I saw the commercial on tbs yesterday and I was like "oh snap".
tbh I actually really liked Chris Brown before this. His music was fun and he's a good dancer and cute, but now... gah I just can't believe he would screw over his career like this.
also, again this is just a rumor, but I'd heard that Rihanna had a habit of also kind of beating on chris brown. Even if it is true, it in no way condones him putting his hands on her to cause injury, but it might put it in a different perspective. Even still, he's enormous and she's tiny, even if she did abuse him in some way, I think he could restrain her without beating her up O_o
Shoppinstar - February 11, 2009 11:26 PM (GMT)
I hope this doesn't continue to affect his career, because he's a great singer and I really love his music . They were both wrong, because she threw his car keys out of the window, and he ended up choking her 'til she was unconscious. But what he did was worse though. He shouldn't have touched her, when there was other reasons it could've been handled.

SHE THREW HIS CAR KEYS OUT OF THE WINDOW!!??!?!???!??? Oh Mah Gah, I think I would have had a heart attack. MY KEYS! OH SHIT! THEY COULD BE SERIOUSLY SCRATCHED OR SOMETHING SERIOUS! :fist:
FOR SHAME RIRI! FOR SHAME!
Stevenzuuh - February 12, 2009 02:21 AM (GMT)
First, off you shouldnt be choking anyone. And throwing out you car keys? C'mon, seriously? LOL DONNA
ShortyBoo - February 12, 2009 03:19 AM (GMT)
He choked and punched her. Because the police report said the victim (which we know was Rihanna) had bruises and a black eye and that doesn't come from choking only.
My brother read somewhere that the reason he hit her was because she gave him herpes. I doubt this is true, but it would explain why he would be so mad. I mean, throwing the keys out the window is a pretty lame reason to get that pissed off where you'd hit and choke someone.
amelie - February 12, 2009 12:10 PM (GMT)
I heard about this like ages ago but, I couldn't believe it when I first heard of it. Came to me as a huge shock because to me he always had this squeaky clean image.
Whether or not she "plays rough with him/beats him", he shouldn't have ever ever put his hands on her like that and just leave her there. Chris could have just told her to stop or something - that's all he actually needed to do!
But I think there is something they aren't telling us - as to why RiRi isn't pressing charges on DoucheBrown. Maybe it's because "she loves him too much" or "she did something to him that she doesn't want anyone to know about". But I think both of my conclusions could be wrong but whatever!
Anyways, no one puts their hand on RiRi a woman/girl. Chris Brown should gtfo and T.I. should stfu. It's more than just 'a mistake', T.I.! And I heard on the radio that Kanye felt horrible because that's like his wittle sister and he was like so devastated during the American Boy performance. (aaaaaw!!!) And Jay-Z's temper was said to have hit the ceiling after hearing about what Douche did to RiRi.
CHRIS, I HOPE YOUR CAREER GOES DOWN THE DRAIN, YOU ANIMAL.
ShortyBoo - February 12, 2009 11:09 PM (GMT)
I was watching TMZ yesterday and I thought it was funny what some of the people who they asked about it said. Like most of them wouldn't say anything bad about Chris Brown. And like Ray J said he "wishes them the best". I think Michelle Williams' (from Destiny's Child) response was the worst. She said something like "I hope they work it out" and when they asked her what she would do if a guy hit her, she said "it depends on the circumstances". It was like she was saying there was a circumstance where she thought it was ok for a guy to put his hands on a woman. WTF? Why are so many people treating this like it's no big deal?
I remember when my ex beat me, the police acted the same way. They didn't even bother arresting him or ever pressing charges even though I wanted to. They said it was because most women who get abused end up going back to the guy and want the charges dropped anyway, so they don't bother. I was so pissed! I had a broken nose, black eye and lots of bruises and they acted like he just slapped me or something. But he got what he deserved in the end. After he left my apartment that night (my neighbor finally heard me screaming and came outside just as him and his other girlfriend who was pregnant, (the reason the fight started) were trying to force me into her car) he went back to her place and lived with her and her mom. They had two kids together in just a short time (I saw the birth announcements in the paper) and just after the second kid was born, he was arrested for beating her. That time he did go to jail, and spent the next year in prison. I don't know what she was thinking staying with him, and I thought she got what she deserved. I mean, she saw what he did to me, so why wouldn't she think he'd do that to her? I'm just thankful I never had any kids with him.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that the law needs to start taking domestic violence more seriously. Guys who do stuff like this are dangerous. And they'll keep doing it too.

jaysun - February 12, 2009 11:22 PM (GMT)
THANK YOU SHORTY!
See the rate of recidivism is high for people who just like steal or drive drunk, like (well not petty, as in unimportance) "petty" crimes like that, I don't understand why people think those who are charged with domestic violence won't do it again.
One thing that annoys me is how other celebrities are asked about this. Like thats none of their fucking business. What does Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child have to do with a domestic violence dispute that involves a man hitting another woman. And its not like it was Beyonce they asked, they asked Michelle....
I would have taken Kelly at least.

Oh yes and, "According to police reports, it was a text message from another woman that initiated the argument, during which Chris began hitting her. At that point, Rihanna ordered Chris to drive her home and "faked a call" to a friend, asking for the presence of police upon her arrival. Enraged, Brown threatened to kill her, and began hitting her again, much more aggressively. Somehow Rihanna removed the keys from the ignition and threw them into the street." He is so monstrous!
And, "Brown's cousin, Phylicia Thompson, spoke with TV's Extra and told them, "Chris was not brought up…to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it. He wouldn't have done is just to be having fun….But what happens behind closed doors, nobody ever knows."" PHYLICIA THOMPSON STFU
kaitealyn - February 13, 2009 05:52 AM (GMT)
I'm so sorry it's happened to you shorty, but i'm really glad you've pulled through and become a much stronger person!
And you are absolutely right, like Jaysun said, they WILL do it again. How do we know this is the first time he's done it? Probably not.
I am so disgusted by people trying to justify what he did, like even if she'd hit him, a skinny little girl like rhianna vs a full grown man? Be the better man Chris, ffs.
http://jezebel.com/5152529/rihannas-guide-...-justice-systemThis is a great, and really sad article, about what will probably happen. :(
