Right, sorry I had a major assessment for university. Like a "if you don't pass you're kicked out" assessment :| thank fully i passed with flying colours, but that obviously had priority for a while!

Welcome to the finale round girls! We're expecting a lot of you this round so make sure you prove to us that you have what it takes to become the winner of Cosmopolitan.

your FIRST shoot...

You'll be playing the roles of lost, devastated brides. That's right, you'll be modeling in formal bridal gowns for this photo shoot! However, you're distressed, possibly you ran from your wedding, drove and drove until you found yourself lost in the outback. How long have you been there? How dirty are you?

Your dress will be torn, yet it still needs to be clear that it was originally a bridal gown. Hope you enjoy the fabric editing! Well, it's a finale! Show plenty of emotion and the distress we're looking for, but don't forget you're modeling first and foremost!

NOTE: I know you won't fill that much of the frame, seeing as the shot is a distance away. Try to measure up against the car to work out what scale you should be on the background. Notice the car has no tyres, it's lower into the ground than a car would usually be, so you'll appear that bit taller.

G U I D L I N E S

+ Full Body Shot
+ Feel free to edit the tones/lighting.
+ Expression is a must, feel free to go really dramatic so long as you don't go too ugly. Are you crying? Are you screaming? Are you angry? Are you nervous?
+ Use the given background, interact with it.
+ Think of how the strong sunlight would be in the outback. Careful with your shadows.
+ You must appear as if you were a bride. Hair, makeup, dress. However, don't forget you're torn, messy, tired. Would your makeup be running? Would your hair have dropped from it's perfect 'updo'? would the train of your dress be marked with dust and dirt?
+ The more extravagant and couture the dress the better. Don't be too obvious.

A lot of models get most of their work through catalog work or "lookbook shots", especially at the beginning. It's also important that you can sell clothing in the simplest of surroundings, without the heavy makeup and dramatic setting. So, you'll be creating a simple commercial catalog shot!

G U I D L I N E S

+ Full Body Shot OR Thighs Up
+ Keep lighting simple.
+ Fresh, clean makeup.
+ Expression should be approachable and simple.
+ Outfit can be represent Summer or Winter.
+ Don't think cheap catalog, think more look book. It's STILL important to make the clothing fashion forward, even if it is high street. Choose a look people want.
+ Try to create an overall look. Not just, dress + heels, that's too easy. What about a jacket? Glasses? Layered tops? Leggings or jeans? Scarf? Hat?
+ YOU MUST have a bag as an accessory. If you want more, fine, but you must have at least a bag. Remember this is catalog, so it won't be a gucci bag! It's likely to not have a visible brand name. It can be any type of bag, any size.

Attention!

As you know, starting immediately we are using the new money system. All judges and contestants will get paid for each round they complete! Also, members will lose money if they drop out.

The host and contestants of this contest should read the new rules asap so you know what money you will earn (and how you can lose your money). All participants will be paid for the round that just finished once the photos/comments are posted, and it is important that any dropouts are reported as they happen.

To the host: Help us make it easier to pay everyone by posting the member's/judge's user name in addition to their model's/judge's name when you post photos and comments. It is now your job as a host to do this so that your contestants/judges get paid.

Okay, there are a few issues with this now.

The 4 judges I originally started with are often inactive and out of contact and basically comments are completed by whoever is available.

Secondly, Dannii has declared inactivity due to numerous life issues, as a friend of hers I totally understand and it's been an issue for a while now, before the money system was introduced.

Effectively, Anne/Agustin is an automatic winner. Augustin, you need not finish your round if you don't want to, seeing as you stated it was difficult to achieve.

I just think it'll be easier vintage if attempting to use the money system on this contest is forgotten about? To be honest I wouldn't know which judges you can subtract money from etc, it's all very awkward seeing as we're right at the very end.

Oh this is quite weird, my first won contest and it's because my opposite is gone, *misses danni lol. Anyway, had a great time in here, and despite all the problems and delays it's been a great experience!

Hey, what about the prizes?

I was about to pm you about those.

Vive's team & contributors parted so it doesn't run anymore. Andy/Hound for example, has pretty much moved on. It's a shame I didn't get to get it off of the ground.

As for Pop&Soda, I'm not sure what the situation is on that one; as the winner just pm Vivian and ask, because an issue of that hasn't been around for a long while either.

You should get forum money too, but I haven't thoroughly read through the new rules, so I don't know when you'll get it. I think Vee needs to sort that one.
